Like its G-10 handled counterpart, the lightweight Manix 2 boasts the Ball Bearing Lock, an innovative feature that operates around a free-floating ball bearing enclosed within a custom polymer cage. The round shape of the ball bearing enables self-adjustment across a large surface, ensuring a consistently smooth lock-up every time it engages. The Ball Bearing Lock is ingeniously self-contained, eliminating the need for internal liners and making the folder liner-free and exceptionally lightweight.
 
The EdgeTek FRCP (fiberglass reinforced co-polymer) handle, in a sleek black, incorporates jimped areas molded around the perimeter for enhanced grip. Bi-Directional Texturing on both sides of the handle scale enhances the folder's suitability for gripping in wet or uncertain conditions.
 
Crafted from BD-1 Carpenter steel, the blade is generating interest among knife enthusiasts for its rust-resistant properties and long-lasting edge retention, thanks to its high carbon and chromium content. The flat-ground blade features spine and choil jimping and an oversized Spyderco Round Hole for easy opening.
