This lightweight version replaces the original G10 scales with injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN), featuring Spyderco’s signature high-traction Bi-Directional Texture for a secure grip.
 
Taking it a step further, the Ambitious Lightweight is equipped with a non-reflective black oxide coating on its full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade. To match, the handle features skeletonized stainless steel liners and a black-coated pocket clip and hardware for a sleek, stealthy look. Whether you choose the PlainEdge or SpyderEdge configuration, the knife includes a Liner Lock mechanism to keep the blade securely open during use.
